jalapeno poppers

One of our all-time favorite appetizers, jalapeno poppers! They are incredibly simple to make and amazingly delicious.

Ingredients.

20 (or more) fresh jalapenos (you’re going to slice them in half – so it’ll make about 40 poppers)
Philadelphia Soft Cream Cheese
bacon
toothpicks

In my opinion, the easiest way to make jalapeno poppers is to form an assembly line. Assign one step to an individual and the process will go by quickly.

Step 1. Wash and dry the fresh jalapenos. Slice the jalapenos down the middle – from the top to the bottom.

Step 2. Remove the seeds from the jalapenos – it’s okay to leave a few, if you like spice! (I highly recommend using gloves. The peppers are typically so hot, they may burn your skin.)

Step 3. Spread cream cheese into jalapeno halves.

Step 4. Wrap a half of a strip of bacon around the jalapeno halves. Put a toothpick through the bacon, cream cheese, and bacon combo to hold them together.

Step 5. Grill ’em. (Or, you can bake them. I prefer grilling, simply because the bacon is greasy & often makes the baked poppers greasy.)

Step 6. Enjoy!

Be sure to try these at home and let us know what you think! If you are already a champ at jalapeno poppers, but have a slightly different recipe – we’d love for you to share!
