twenty six weeks

A little different than my previous bump photos, but here I am at twenty six weeks. As you know, we were traveling down the east coast last week – so I had to improvise and the White House felt like a great photo op for my growing bump.

I kind of love that I’m about to burst out laughing here. Some other visitor (and proud father) was so excited to see us taking these pictures, he had me laughing. He said this baby was going to be the best thing to happen to us. I think he’s right.

How far along are you? In the photos I am 26 weeks, 3 days.
Best moment(s)? Whenever I was trying to schedule two appointments in Atlanta for two different specialist on the same day and it all worked out. I know it was a God thing and the ladies that helped me were so sweet.
Food cravings or aversions? Pastries and ginger ale. Not together! (Or maybe?)
Symptoms? Achy, specifically by back and diaphragm. And my feet were super swollen after all the walking we did in NYC.
Sleep? I’m up and down most nights and have been having the wildest dreams. It’s so weird because I’ve never been a dreamer.
Gender? Baby Heape is a girl!
Movements? Yes, she’s moving all the time now. I love it!
Cranky or happy? Justin told me recently that I’m cranky to everyone but him, so I’m going with cranky. But right now, this very second, I feel happy!
Maternity clothes? Still wearing most of my normal clothes. Can we cheer for that? Because I’m not sure how much longer I’ll be able to say that. *Since originally writing this, I actually outgrew my normal jeans. Sad, sad day! And it happened while in NYC… which could have been a blessing and a curse. I was completely out of clothes, but at least I had options to buy new ones, right?
Miss anything? I want a turkey sandwich. *And my old jeans.
What are you looking forward to? Our 4D ultrasound, which is scheduled for next week!

Prayer Request: Tomorrow, we are scheduled to meet with two (possibly three) specialists in Atlanta to discuss possible plans of treatments for our baby girl. Justin has to work, so my Mama and Mother-in-law are going with me to the appointments. If you would, I’d like to ask each of you to pray for me, that the Lord will guide me and provide clarity. Pray that I ask the right questions and the Lord provides the right answers. We are beyond blessed to have been recommended four incredible specialists, but now is the tough part of deciding which one will care for our girl.

Thank you in advance, for each and every prayer!
