We celebrated our big boy’s 4th birthday poolside with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles everywhere – per his request. He’s been ninja turtle obsessed since last Halloween when I DIY’d these turtle costumes. It was such a sweet week to see his excitement build as we counted down the days until his party. It was the first year he was truly excited for a party and celebration.
He very specifically asked for Mikey’s favorite pizza, Leonardo cookies, cupcakes, and a Raphael cake. We had a hiccup whenever our favorite baker couldn’t make the cupcakes or cake, but it all came together and I’m grateful.
With 2020 being the year it has been, we were determined to still have our closest friends and cousins celebrate with us. My all-time favorite photos from my childhood include group photos from birthday parties. It’s so fun to look back and see familiar faces and how much growth happens from year to year.
With all of the littles having summer birthdays, we’ve decided the pool parties are the way to go in the South Georgia heat. Fortunately for me, they all love to swim.
We had the best time celebrating our growing, wild boy.
Britt Colby, I hope you always know just how much we love you. We are so thankful the Lord entrusted us with your precious life and we are blessed to call you ours.
