Heape of Love

home project

17 Aug ’12

This past week, I set my mind to completing two projects. Both projects I’ve had in mind for quite some time, but I was ready to check them off my (imaginary) list. One, adding this towel rack (or wine rack) to our master bathroom. Two, well… you’ll just have to wait and see.

Whenever we first moved in, it was obvious that something was missing in the bathroom. So the brainstorming began, would it be a towel rack or shelving? Initially, I was inspired by this pin on Pinterest. However, I couldn’t find just what I was looking for – so it became a project. Like a search and find. First, I shopped around locally. But, the price was way too high – even on eBay! When I was just about to give up – it dawned on my to check Amazon. (I don’t know why, but I rarely think about this option.)  After searching Amazon, I found this $175 towel rack for… wait for it… $29! Talk about a deal. I was so excited.

As soon as it was delivered, I finagled Justin into hanging it for me right away. Voila!

My apologies for the grainy, not-so-glam photos… as it turns out, it isn’t so easy to photograph the wall space above a toilet. Not to mention, it’s not a glamorous view at all!

Okay, so this wasn’t exactly a do-it-yourself kind of project, but it did involve a hammer and two nails! Plus, it freed up some of our extremely limited cabinet space under the sink and it’s a great way to show-off our pretty towels.

What do you think of our latest home project?

happy Friday,
the newlyweds
