Heape of Love

knox blocks

26 Nov ’18

Have you heard of the Knox Blocks Foundation? Neither had I until sweet Aurelia was sick with RSV and struggling to breathe.

The Knox Blocks Foundation was created with a mission to give families a peace of mind for their little ones. At only 3.5 months young, Knox Owen went to sleep and never woke up. In honor of his precious life, his family organized this foundation to provide smart socks to as many families as possible. Owlet has agreed to match Knox Blocks dollar-for-dollar and every smart sock purchased through Knox Blocks is matched. Now through the end of 2018, Owlet is doubling that and matching each purchase with TWO smart socks.

Aurelia was only 10 days old when the doctors confirmed she had the virus. A dear friend knew the lack of sleep I was enduring and how worried I had become with Aurelia’s oxygen levels, particularly at night. So she generously purchased an Owlet smart sock for our girl, guaranteeing a donation to two other families. Isn’t that amazing? And so incredibly kind? I’m still in shock and grateful for her generosity.

To say it blessed our family would be an understatement! It’s given me so much ease and peace during naps and at night. While my heart breaks for Knox’s family, his legacy is living on through this incredible organization. Feel free to check out the website, read more about Knox’s story and the foundation, and learn how you can aid in doing #bigthingsfromheaven!

So what is the Owlet Smart Sock? The Owlet Smart Sock monitors baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels while they sleep. The dock alerts parents when the baby’s heart rate or oxygen levels fall outside of preset ranges. Conveniently, you can monitor your baby with realtime insights via the Owlet app without ever disturbing your little one. Plus, the Owlet Connected Care (a second app) tracks your baby’s sleep trends too. I can’t rave about it enough! It’s definitely allowed me to rest more peacefully, particularly while Aurelia was fighting RSV.

.

Thinking of purchasing a smart sock for yourself or family member? Be sure to purchase through KnoxBlocks.org to buy one and give one. And now until the end of 2018, when you purchase one, Owlet gives two.
