I just love this picture of my silly girl. We were at a recent doctors appointment and Britt so lovingly hit her with a lego. It barely left a red spot, but she insisted on wearing this tiny bandaid on her nose the rest of the day. I can’t help but smile when I look at it!
A few weeks back, I asked you to pray for Joy Belle and very specifically about an upcoming MRI. Since then, a lot has happened and I can only apologize for taking so long to update you. I feel like we’ve been in a race since the week of that appointment.
She had a MRI done of her brain and spine back on November 15th, which was done to rule out any issues that may be causing her feet to regress. Her doctor was out of the country at the time, so it took us several days to get the results. Thankfully, these results came back clear! Definitely an answer to much prayer.
However, these results noted a pulmonary nodule (an unidentified object in her lung) and her doctor requested a follow up x-ray. She had this done the day before Thanksgiving, so we had to wait almost a week for these results. Another answer to prayer, nothing abnormal showed up on the x-ray – although, they apparently never thought it would. (The nodule is only 4mm in size & her doctor is not concerned at this time.) We will follow-up with another x-ray of her chest in a few months, just to make sure it isn’t growing.
We go back to see her doctor in two weeks. At this time, we will discuss any future treatment or procedures for Joy Belle.
Isn’t this such a beautiful picture? It’s one from Aurelia’s newborn photo session. Oh how I love those butterbean shaped feet and chubby toes!
So many of you have reached out to encourage me and have prayed so specifically for Joy Belle. I have no doubt the Lord heard our prayers and is daily providing a peace and comfort on her journey. You may never know how much I have felt your prayers, but please know that it was and is so appreciated.
