pumpkin juice

Seeing as I bombarded you last week with Harry Potter party everything, I figured I’d save this recipe for another day. Today is the day! After all, with the holidays just around the corner, who wouldn’t want to serve butterbeer or pumpkin juice for their guests?

Pumpkin Juice was another featured beverage at our Hogwarts Halloween Soirèe. Pumpkin Juice is extremely popular in the wizarding world and drunk at most meals, including breakfast, lunch, feasts, and other occasions. In the muggle world, it serves the same role as orange juice! We couldn’t have a Harry Potter shindig without it.

In addition to Butterbeer, we featured the classic Harry Potter beverage of Pumpkin Juice at our Halloween party. It was very popular among our guests! Unfortunately, our Pumpkin Juice was chilling in the fridge when these photos were snapped. Therefore, you can only see the decorative bowl and serving glasses. At least that looks lovely, right?

pumpkin-juice ingredients-honeydo

  • frozen apple juice (concentrate), 2 can
  • water, 4 cans (we used the juice can)
  • canned pumpkin, 1 cup
  • apricot preserves, 1/2 cup
  • vanilla extract, 1 teaspoon
  • ground cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon

directions-honeydo

One. Combine all ingredients into blender pitcher. Blend on high until smooth consistency.

Two. Serve and enjoy!

*This recipe makes almost 3 liters of juice and served approximately 16 people.

Way less complex than the Butterbeer recipe, this concoction was easy to make. Our liqueurs (pictured above) were dubbed “potions” and served as decor. However, any “potion” could be added for a bit of a spike!

Again, this drink is perfect for the holiday season – especially with Thanksgiving just around the corner!
