Baby boy is measuring at two and half pounds and is the size of a Hawaiian pineapple, a cottontail rabbit, or a growing baby at 29 weeks. I learned at my last appointment (28 weeks), that baby boy is measuring one week ahead and I’m measuring one week behind. When you’re 28 weeks pregnant and anyone describes one of your measurements as “small” – you take it as a compliment and buy yourself an ice cream sundae! Especially when that news comes after a glucose test.
29 WEEKS
How far along are you? 29 weeks, 1 day.
Best moment(s)? Finishing painting his nursery (it’s such a soft shade of blue/grey) and moving all of his furniture in. It’s nowhere near ready, but I already see myself rocking him to sleep in there.
Food cravings or aversions? Fresh fruit, pizza, and anything sweet!
Symptoms? Exhaustion! I feel sleep deprived constantly.
Sleep? Joy Belle still doesn’t sleep through the night (ugh), so I don’t get any consecutive sleep. However, I’ve begun waking up in the night and unable to go back to sleep. It makes for some long days.
Gender? Baby Heape is a boy!
Movements? Recently the movements have been more consistent and definitely stronger. He seems to be active at all times of the day and night. I feel like I don’t even notice his movements unless they are sudden or I’m waiting for them.
Cranky or happy? Happy, happy, happy. Kind of like Joy Belle’s version of “Happy Birthday,” you can watch it here.
Maternity clothes? Yes. I shared a few of my favorite, maternity style outfits a few posts back, which includes lots of loose, comfortable pieces.
Miss anything? Not really. I’m really loving this pregnancy and the stage of life we’re in as a family. But, I do miss standing up with ease. I feel like I’ve done a full workout just standing up!
What are you looking forward to? I’ve scheduled a little mommy/daughter, maternity photo session with my good friend, Jay of Click Photography, and I can’t wait to have this time of our lives documented. It’s by far one of the most exhausting phases of my life, but hands down one of the best!
- Baby boy is still nameless. (It’s killing me!)
- I started having pretty bad indigestion the last few weeks and at my 28 week appointment, the ultrasound showed a head full of hair! Seems baby boy won’t be born bald and the old wives tale may be true.
- These photos are a billion times harder to take with an almost two year old running around, but I’m glad to have a little comparison to the first go-round.
