DIY, ninja turtle valentines

If you saw the kids costumes from Halloween, you know that I’ve got a some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fans over here. That’s just about all Britt talks about… Everything is “Mikey this…” or “I need my nunchucks!” It’s really quite cute until he karate chops his baby sister.

It’s been 3 months since Halloween and they still dress up in their costumes multiple times a week. Since they’re so into the turtles, it only made sense that I come up with a Ninja Turtle Valentine for their friends.

Are these not so cute?

What you need

  • Gogo Squeez apple sauce pouches
  • green, orange, red, purple, and blue construction paper
  • googl-y eyes
  • hot glue
  • black marker

I measured out the green construction paper to 4.5″ x 7.5″ and hot glued the edges together around the pouches. Then, I cut 3/4″ strips of the other colored paper for the masks. I drew on the smiles, but left gluing the tongues and googl-y eyes to the kids. Voila, you’ve got Ninja Turtle Valentines. It was really quite simple and only $6 for the apple sauce pouches. I had everything else on hand.

And what would Valentine’s Day be without store-bought Ninja Turtle cards and pizza scented tattoos?
